Education

Peer education is key to our mission. We have created a framework for a series of peer-led lessons designed for high school students. Though the topics are split out by high school grade level, each individual course will contain elements of all topics. Read on for more information on the IPECC peer education model.

Symptoms

Science

Oriented for sophomores. Students will learn the science behind climate change.

Politics

Oriented for juniors. Students will become familiar with the political landscape of climate change.

Solutions

Symptoms

The freshman class will be invited to learn how to identify symptoms of climate change. The ability to point to evidence and understand the implications for life as we know it is essential to the conversation around climate change.

We launched the freshman lesson in Spring 2019 with great success. More details to come.

Science

The sophomore class will be empowered with a scientific understanding of the causes of climate change. Hands-on learning will give students the tools necessary to observe their world through the lens of a climate scientist.

We plan to launch the sophomore lesson in Spring 2020. More details to come.

Politics

The junior class will explore the political landscape around climate change. Navigating politically charged conversations is an unfortunate, but necessary, element of climate change reality.

More details to come.

Solutions

The senior class will learn & discover solutions for climate change, from small acts of kindness to sweeping legislative efforts. This is the culmination of the IPECC mission.

More details to come.
